MINUTES NOVEMBER 17, 2011

There were no minutes available from the previous meeting.

Gaile reported to the committee that Diane Featherstone wants to use the Senior Room  for an evening event. The committee okayed the use and will charge $100.00 for the use,

The gym is being rented out for a birthday party on the 20th of November by the Wheeler family for $100.00.

On January 7th there is going to be a birthday party for Jim Hillis’s granddaughter. It is going to be a Sweet 16 party. The charge will be $150.00 for the use of the gym and kitchen.

The is a problem with the handicap bathroom on the first floor. The toilet is leaking and causing rot of the floor because of the water. Carl suggested using some money available to get it fixed. It will need to be watched and there is a possibility the floor will have ti be resanded.

Gaile reported that Leslie Wood is leaving and Studio #8 is now available for rent.

Bill has put up the plastic on the windows for the winter. He says he has picked out a date before Christmas to retire. He has also painted the water splattered walls in the gym.

The ceilings in the back hallway need to be done. Jessica’s, #8, Diane’s and other rooms need to be repaired, scraped and painted. The job is going out for bid.

Sue Shanahan from the Parks and Recreation Department wants to use the Princeton Center for activities during the winter. Yoga, karate, and dance classes are some of the offerings being thought of as after school programs. The building would most likely be used from 4-5 and/or 6-8.  Gaile told Sue the building is already being used on Monday and Wednesday evenings by the Scouts. The committee also told her that the rental price is per usage not hourly. The going rate is $100.00 for the kitchen and $50.00 for the gym.
Carl suggested Sue come in on December 15th with a proposed schedule before the committee makes any decisions.
